Bella's Story written by Sandra Rowland and Illustrated by Maryani Mason

In this beautiful chapter picture book, suitable for primary school children and older, Bella Rosa tells her story of growing to wisdom as the seasons unfold in an Australian garden. The roses, plants, birds and creatures of the garden provide a rich medley of characters.

We'll let Bella tell you about them herself...

Guess what? The humans have made my story into a book!

Sandra has written down the words and Maryani has done lots of wonderful coloured pictures. We’re all there - the roses and the other flowers and the trees, and all the birds, and Mr Marmalade the cat, and Gwillum the dog, and the rooster and his hens, and the bees and ducks and lizards and even the red-bellied black snake and the storm monster and the humans who live in the house.

Mrs Dudley Cross is looking very cross and Dr Grill very stern, and the Cardinal and Sweet Alice and Marigold and the Sage are all exactly as they ought to be. You can see us all if you click on Characters.

Colleen has put the words and pictures together perfectly and George has had it all bound into a nice big book with a padded cover and the title Bella’s Story in gold! There’s even a ribbon so you can keep your place because it’s quite a long story and you won’t be able to read it all at once.

I just love it! If you want to see some pages go to the website Bella's Story http://bellasstory.com/, and if you love it too you can go to Buy and the humans will send you a book so I can tell you my whole story.

Then it will become your story as well.
